My advice for campers is to not be afraid of being honest and vulnerable with those around you. Some of the most formative and meaningful moments of my camp experience came when I was honest about my feelings toward college with others. Your counselors and fellow campers want to be there for you and might even be going through similar situations. When I took the time to be honest with my counselor, I found that my experience was significantly better and found comfort in knowing I had an advocate for me at MSU.
My favorite thing about MSU is the tight-knit community it provides. The student here work together to succeed, and they never compete to “be the best.” It’s really comforting that everyone here is so kind to each other.
I love spending my free time with my friends by going on coffee runs, talking walks around Chadwick lake, or driving around late at night!
