<p>For transfer students as your first semester here, don't overload yourself with trying to catch up with what everybody else has gotten involved in since freshman year. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet new people as you try new things, but I've realized how important it is to focus on a couple groups or things you like to do that build you up and are encouraging.&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13.008px; line-height: 1.538em;">"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and go do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive."</span></p><p>-Howard Thurman</p><p>The more you can balance your time with school, quiet time, and those things that encourage you, the more you will make this campus come alive.</p>
